Green PIXIs? No, they aren’t little, tiny creatures…

For the seventh Annual Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging (PIXI) Awards, Xerox has sent out a call for entries with a new category - “Environmental Award.”

This year the Environmental Award will go to an application that demonstrates the qualities of an environmentally-conscious print shop that follows sustainable business practices such as embracing print on demand, adopting energy-reducing workflow automation tools, and using more environmentally-efficient papers.

You can submit entries from May 29 through August 6. Note that the Web entry site shuts down August 1, 2008 11:59 PST. Hard-copy print samples and completed consent forms must be received by midnight, August 6, 2008 11:59PM EST in order to qualify. Any submissions received after this date will be automatically disqualified.
