GAA Environmental Workshop, June 17-19
By Gail Nickel-Kailing on May 16th, 2008
June in Bar Harbor, Maine, should be beautiful! The Gravure Association of America (GAA) chose it as the location for their Environmental Workshop, to be held June 17-19, at the Atlantic Oakes Resort. It also seems fitting that LL Bean - of Freeport, Maine - would be co-chairing the event.
Who should attend? Publishers, catalogers, retailers, and printers seeking a deeper understanding of climate change in relation to the paper industry.
Session titles include:
- Climate Change and Linkage with Sustainable Forestry
- Carbon Footprint of Paper
- Status and Need for More Privately-Held Land to be Certified
- University of Main “Forest Bio-products Research Initiative”
- Voluntary Carbon Market and Consumer Protection
- Paper Industry Focus on Climate Change
